Review: Persons Unknown

Persons Unknown
Persons Unknown by Susie Steiner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks Random House Publishing Group – Random House and netgalley for this ARC.

Susie Steiner keeps this series jumping! This one had me outraged at the present day prejudices of some characters and proud of others in their empathy. This is one of the best contemporary police procedurals this year.

Review: The Dream Keeper’s Daughter: A Novel

The Dream Keeper's Daughter: A Novel
The Dream Keeper’s Daughter: A Novel by Emily Colin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you like magical realism, read because you like to escape your concerns, and have a imagination then you should love this novel. I don’t understand some reviews about this book because it’s been represented as a adult magical realism novel not contemporary fiction.

Review: Betrayal at Iga

Betrayal at Iga
Betrayal at Iga by Susan Spann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks Edelweiss for this ARC.

I love this series because even if you are new to it- you’ll love it. We get to see where Hiro grew up it this one with all the angst, old rivals, and old flames. The mystery is just as fast paced, dangerous, and left or death. The cliffhanger has me even more hooked to this series than ever!

Review: Lockdown: A Novel of Suspense

Lockdown: A Novel of Suspense
Lockdown: A Novel of Suspense by Laurie R. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks Random House Publishing Group – Ballantine and netgalley for this ARC.

Laurie R. King has my attention no matter the genre. I was on board the whole of the novel. You can’t help feeling invested and anxious because it feels like it can happen anywhere and to anybody. I wonder if they’ll make a movie based of the book one day?
