Review: The Book of Summer

The Book of Summer
The Book of Summer by Michelle Gable
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks St. Martin’s Press and netgalley for this ARC.

Quirky, awkward, and very enduring heroine and her opposite opposing mother make a entertaining duo in this family of fighters novel. It all comes together beautifully in the end tho. With awesome descriptions of Nantucket from the past and present, what more can you ask for?

Review: The Mesmerist: The Society Doctor Who Held Victorian London Spellbound

The Mesmerist: The Society Doctor Who Held Victorian London Spellbound
The Mesmerist: The Society Doctor Who Held Victorian London Spellbound by Wendy Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks Orion Publishing Group and netgalley for this ARC.

I love a biography that reads just as well as fiction. People didn’t want to stretch their minds or let go enough to take mesmerism seriously, but time has proven them wrong.

Review: Never Trust a Pirate

Never Trust a Pirate
Never Trust a Pirate by Valerie Bowman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks St. Martin’s Press and netgalley for this ARC.

This is one of the the best romances of the year for me. It’s just the right balance of danger, love, and intrigue. Not your typical, textbook,or formula romance here. This is grade A supercharged one of kind, stands on it’s own fiction.

Review: Owl and the Electric Samurai

Owl and the Electric Samurai
Owl and the Electric Samurai by Kristi Charish
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Thanks Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books and netgalley for this ARC.

Kristi Charish knows how to keep her audience happy and enthralled with this series. Owl throws down with the best out there. I love the chemistry between Owl and boyfriend/bodyguard. This adventure is out of this world, and the cliffhanger leaves us reeling with alarm and excitement
